Support Tiers

This chapter groups the platform and feature posture into rough tiers.

Tier Definitions

  • Tier 1: preferred and well-tested
  • Tier 2: supported but still maturing
  • Tier 3: experimental or incomplete

Current Tier Assignment

ELF-oriented flows are the strongest tier. Mach-O is useful but still maturing. Windows-native support is incomplete.

Downstream Guidance

Consumers should encode these tiers explicitly in their own release policy instead of assuming uniform maturity across platforms.
